Daar het noorden van Brits Columbia een zeer gevarieerd gebied is van bergen, oneindige sparrenwouden, ravijnen, prairieachtige valleien, diepblauwe meren en snelstromende rivieren is er ook een grote verscheidenheid aan planten. De planten waren voor de bewoners van het noorden in vroeger tijden en nu nog steeds een belangrijke voedselbron. De natuurliefhebber die interesse heeft in de plantenwereld kan hier zijn hart ophalen.
